Kinora Network is currently a project under development and has not yet been incorporated as an independent legal entity. Therefore, until a separate legal entity is established, the person identified above is the data controller.

2. What personal data may we process?

The data we process depends on how each person uses Kinora Network and the platform features they interact with.

We may process the following categories of data:

  • Identification and contact data: such as first name, surname, username, email address or other information provided when registering or using the platform.
  • Professional profile data: such as experience, education, areas of expertise, skills, professional location, availability, languages or other information added to the profile.
  • Portfolios and content: information, images, videos, links, projects, documents or other content that the user chooses to add to their profile or publish on the platform.
  • Project and opportunity information: data provided when creating, publishing, managing or participating in projects, job opportunities, internships, castings, collaborations or other opportunities.
  • Communication data: information provided when the user contacts Kinora Network or uses communication features available on the platform.
  • Technical and security data: information required to ensure the operation, integrity and security of the platform, such as certain connection data, technical logs or information relating to incidents.
  • Platform preferences: settings such as language, visual theme or other basic preferences.

As a general rule, this information is provided directly by the user when creating an account, completing a profile, publishing content, participating in a project or opportunity, or otherwise interacting with Kinora Network.

Users are responsible for ensuring that the information they provide is accurate and up to date.

3. Why do we use personal data and what is the legal basis?

Kinora Network may process personal data for the following purposes:

1. Managing accounts and providing platform services: we use the information necessary to create and manage accounts, configure profiles and provide access to Kinora Network’s features, including publishing profiles and portfolios, discovering talent, projects and professional opportunities, participating in processes or projects, and connecting with other people or organisations. The main legal basis for this processing is the performance of the contractual relationship arising from acceptance of the Terms and Conditions and the use of the requested services.

2. Managing profiles, portfolios and content: we process the information users choose to add to their profile, portfolio, projects or other areas of the platform in order to display it and provide the associated features. The legal basis is the performance of the services requested by the user. Where certain information is optional, users may decide whether or not to provide it.

3. Facilitating connections, projects and professional opportunities: data may be used to enable users to discover professionals, organisations, projects, job opportunities, internships, castings, collaborations or other opportunities available through Kinora Network. The legal basis is the performance of the relationship with the user and the provision of the requested features.

4. Handling enquiries and communications: when someone contacts Kinora Network, we may process the information provided in order to respond to enquiries, requests, incidents, suggestions or complaints. Depending on the nature of the communication, processing may be based on the performance of the contractual relationship, steps taken at the request of the individual concerned, or Kinora Network’s legitimate interest in properly managing communications relating to the platform.

5. Ensuring security and preventing misuse: we may process certain information to protect the platform, detect technical incidents, prevent fraud, abuse, unauthorised access or behaviour contrary to the Terms and Conditions. The legal basis is Kinora Network’s legitimate interest in protecting the platform, its users and its systems and, where applicable, compliance with legal obligations.

6. Complying with legal obligations: certain information may be processed or retained where necessary to comply with obligations established by applicable law or legitimate requests from administrative or judicial authorities. In such cases, the legal basis will be compliance with a legal obligation.

7. Informational or commercial communications: where Kinora Network offers the option to subscribe to newsletters, updates or other communications, these will only be sent where an appropriate legal basis exists and, where required, with the consent of the individual concerned. Consent may be withdrawn at any time.

4. Who may we share personal data with and what information may be visible?

Kinora Network is designed as a professional networking platform. For this reason, certain information contained in a profile, portfolio, projects, opportunities or other professional content may be visible to other users or publicly accessible, always in accordance with the privacy and configuration options selected by the user.

Personal data may also be shared in the following circumstances:

  • Service providers: where necessary for the operation of the platform, including hosting, infrastructure, authentication, email, security or technical support services.
  • Other users or organisations: where the user chooses to share or make certain information visible, or where this is necessary to use a platform feature.
  • Advertising or related service providers: if personalised advertising services are introduced in the future, personal data may only be processed or shared where an appropriate legal basis exists and, where applicable, with the user’s prior consent.
  • Public authorities: where there is a legal obligation or a legitimate request from a competent authority.

Kinora Network does not sell users’ personal data.

5. International data transfers

Some technology providers used by Kinora Network may provide services or operate infrastructure outside the European Economic Area.

Where this involves an international transfer of personal data, Kinora Network will apply the safeguards required under applicable law, such as an adequacy decision, the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, or other legally recognised mechanisms.

Where necessary, additional information regarding these safeguards may be provided to the individuals concerned.

6. How long do we retain personal data?

Personal data will only be retained for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected.

As a general rule:

  • account-related data will be retained while the account remains active;
  • profile data and content will be retained while the user keeps it published or until it is deleted;
  • data relating to enquiries or incidents will be retained for as long as necessary to manage them;
  • data processed on the basis of consent will be retained until consent is withdrawn or the data is no longer necessary;
  • and certain information may be retained, duly restricted, for the legally required periods in order to address potential liabilities.

When personal data is no longer required, it will be deleted or anonymised in accordance with applicable law.

7. Users’ rights

Any person has the right to obtain information about the processing of their personal data and, where applicable, may exercise the following rights:

  • Access: to know what personal data we process and obtain a copy.
  • Rectification: to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Erasure: to request deletion of personal data where the legal requirements are met.
  • Restriction of processing: to request that the processing of personal data be restricted in certain circumstances.
  • Objection: to object to certain processing activities based on legitimate interests.
  • Data portability: to receive certain personal data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format or request its transfer to another controller where applicable.
  • Withdrawal of consent: to withdraw consent previously given at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before consent was withdrawn.

The request must allow the individual concerned to be properly identified and specify which right they wish to exercise. Kinora Network may request additional information where necessary to verify the identity of the applicant.

If you believe that the processing of your personal data does not comply with applicable law, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (Agencia Española de Protección de Datos – AEPD).

8. Security and confidentiality

Kinora Network will adopt technical and organisational measures appropriate to the level of risk in order to protect personal data against destruction, loss, alteration, disclosure or unauthorised access.

Access to personal data will be limited to the individuals and providers who need to process it in order to perform their duties or provide the relevant services.

However, no computer system or Internet-based service can guarantee absolute security.

9. Changes to this Privacy Policy

Kinora Network is currently in an early-access and development phase, so the platform’s features and the way personal data is processed may evolve over time.

This Privacy Policy may be updated to reflect such changes, the introduction of new providers or amendments to applicable law. Where changes are significant, users will be informed through appropriate channels.
